I have been searching for the following for a while, which seem to be rare/out-of-print:

>Winning Pawn Structures by Baburin
>Exploiting Small Advantages by Gufeld
>Positional Play by Dvoretsky
>Attack and Defence by Dvoretsky

The #1, I have heard of it before. # 2 is new to me,  unless the writer has been misspelled. This is just a feeling,  I am not sure if it is.

#3 and #4 could have a co-writer,  Artur Yusupov. The name might have a different spelling.

MGT88 : Also #1 on your list is about I. Q. P., aka Isolani only as I have heard from others.

As there are a seemingly infinite number of chess books out there, I have based my library (primarily) around a list of books recommended by a GM, which range from novice to advanced; the four books I mentioned are on the list, and are considered advanced

3 and 4 are what I have seen with the same titles and two authors as I mentioned before.

I have all these books.

All of these can be found at the used book search engine found at:
Vialibri.com
However the prices for most are quite high. I have all these books but mine are not for sale.

Could any of these books be found at any large library which would lend them out? Has any body tried?

I too had the Gufeld book.

And diversions are ofttimes diverting!

Is Gufeld book good? Can you describe the content or general approach of the author to chess theory?

Why don't you post that list with a mention of the G. M. 's name as well.

That qualifies as huge difference! More than 33 times the Kindle price!

I believe one of Garry Kasparov's first books, The Test of Time, is out of print and on amazon for 50 usd.

$250 for Kmoch?  I'd sooner be fed by mother penguins.

I think that means a big fat"heck no"! Me too.

Sorry.  I do not understand. It must be German.

Gufeld was good, but it read just like a big intro, if I'm remembering right.  Of course, it's not clear exactly what a book entitled Exploiting Small Advantages might be about (exactly).

And I still have Garri's Fighting Chess...which presumably was his first (1983).

I have not heard of Garri before.

That Garry is spelled differently.

And I actually managed somehow or other to acquire a copy of this...

By this do you mean "Fighting Chess"? Or you have another book in mind that you forgot to mention in your post?
