You persist in making insensitive remarks.  You should tone down.

I can not tell you what was covered by Kasparov Teaches Chess, but I do not have the impression that it is seen as one of his important contributions to chess. I think it was a short book, mostly forgotten soon after its 1986 publication. I do not think that there is any important connection between Kasparov and the Dover Nottingham 1936 book. It is just a book that one might mention in a thread about rare books. There was a big tournament in Nottingham. I think it was Alekhine who wrote about it. At one time, Dover reprinted the book.

Thanks for trying to clear that one too. I was hoping ghost....  Would respond to it.

I've got Kasparov Teaches Chess. I have to say I enjoyed it, it's one of the few books I've read cover to cover. It's basically a series of mini lectures that last a few pages, there doesn't seem to be (from what I remember) an overriding 'theme' for the book, but it was very readable. I'd recommend it.

THAT WAS NOT A REMARK,  it was a question. It was not insensitive, so butch up snowflake,

You are far from evolved  obviously, Snowflake! Clean your nose first.

I think t_taylor was referring to a book:

Thank you and Spong for clarifications. Though I should have seen it in the link. Very kind of you again Spong.

Is this book really rare or just out of print?

$170?!  Sometimes you gotta wonder about the prices on those things.  Like maybe they're deliberately trying to avoid having anyone purchase it while somehow getting tax credit for the item (or something like that).

The best way is not to buy them at all. Most specially at this sort of prices.

I was looking for “Mastering the Endgame” by Glenn Flear recently (because it builds upon “Improve Your Endgame Play” (also by Flear), which I liked), it seems to be out of print and I can’t find it anywhere
