Piece weight standards

Simple question really, to which I believe I already know the answer, but I thought I’d poll the collective wisdom here to flesh it out.

Are there any standards, produced by any “official” organization (by which I mean a widely recognized regulatory body, FIDE or USCF, Russian Chess Federation, Chinese Chess Association &tc) which speak to the weights of the pieces one uses to play chess?

In the commercial world one often sees the terms “double weighted” or “triple weighted” but I have found no standard for the weight that would then be “doubled” or “tripled”. The better vendors (at least in my opinion) list overall weights for the sets that they offer, an sometimes list individual weights for the King as well. I have seen some vendors use the term “official size and weight” but I suspect that is a marketing ploy as opposed to a true statement based on a standard.

I look forward to hearing your civil discussion on this topic.

According to Shelby Lohrman, there are no standards.
