So I've done all the mate-in-one puzzles pretty easily, and now I'm on to the mate-in-two puzzles. OMG! I had no idea they could be so tricky! After all, it's only mate in two. What could be so hard? Well, I'm forcing myself to sit and think and think and think before I write down my "solution" in a steno notebook I'm keeping for that purpose. So far I've only had two misses out of 20. But what I'm learning is that it's not the mate that counts or that brings about the most benefit--it's the intense concentration and imagination to box in the king. Compared to the puzzles I've been solving here on chess.com, Polgar is a world apart.
