I have a question, how much could it cost a set like your 1930's Jaques?
I'd be hesitant to discuss prices. I would recommend you start watchin ebay auctions of Jaques sets - that will give you a good sense what various sets go for.
I guess I'll post a few vintage ones as well. Here's an old German set:
