Very nice.
Post your World Champion Autographs Here
I forgot that I do have one signature, that of Carlsen. Bought it from the CHess Hall of Fame.. They had or still have a vinyl chess board with all the tournament participants signature. It is very nice, was and I think still is $50.

Hi Mike:
That's a great deal. Thanks for letting collectors know
The profits go right to the Chess Hall of Fame. Haven't seen it yet but I hear it's a great visit. Have to get there before the Fischer exibit goes away.
Back in 1976 I have the good fortune to play former World Champion Tigran Petrosian in a 50 board simultaneous exhibition at College Park, Maryland. I won one of the 2 games he lost.
Wow! That must be a great feeling, knowing you bested a world champion. Hope you find the game score.

Thanks Frank. I'm sure the scoresheet will show up. Will post when I find it
Excuse me, have you been successful in digging up the PGN? Thanks.
Hi Raymond:
Honestly, I have no idea where the score sheet is in my house. I have many boxes of chess stuff stored in my closets and haven't had the time to start sorting through these boxes. I'm assuming it is in fact stored in one of these boxes. Eventually it will show up and I will post it in this thread. Thanks for your patience.

Finally after having some time to dig through a few boxes of my chess stuff I was able to find my Petrosian scoresheet. After 30...e4 Petrosian resigned. Moving his Knight loses material.

A Champion in her own right and surly the best looking.
Anyone can get a personal copy at her web site for a few bucks. Takes a while as it comes from Hungry but it is well worth it.
Nice win Mike! Towards the end Petrosian was either making 'deep strategic moves' or just couldn't come up with a decent plan. You punished him nicely for his indecision.
Oh and Mike if you are ever sellng that copy of Informant with Petrosian's signature do let me know!
Wisc thanks for letting us now about getting something signed from Judit!

Thanks QuestionableKnight, Petrosian did make a few "fishy moves", but don't we all! I was surprised when Petrosian opened with 1.e4 as 1.d4 is more suited to his style.
One chess.com memebr already offered me $300 for my Petrosian signed Informant. But I'm going to keep it in my collection, at least for now.

You were writing in Algebraic back then?

Yes, by 1976 wasn't everybody? Afterall, practically all English Chess Literature including the Chess Life and Review Magazine had made the transition to algebraic. And of course the Chess Informants and ECOs were already in figurine algebraic notation. I can't tell you how many mistakes I made with descriptive notation on my scoresheets before I switched to algebraic. For example, I have a descriptive scoresheet from a 1968 simul against Bent Larsen which is so screwed up that I can't even replay over the game. I drew the game and i did have Larsen sign the screwed up scoresheet. I probably could reconstruct the actual game, but I'm too lazy and don't want to spend all the tiime doing so. If any member wants to give it a try and reconstruct the scoresheet, let me know and I wil post it.

Back in 1976 I had the good fortune to play former World Champion Tigran Petrosian in a 50 board simultaneous exhibition at College Park, Maryland. I won one of the 2 games he lost. He also drew 4 games. It was a tough simul for Mr. Petrosian as he faced many strong experts and masters. After winning the black side of a Caro-Kahn in 30 moves, I asked Mr. Petrosian if he wouldn't mind signing my Chess Informant #1 on the page with his picture., He graciously signed. I have misplaced the game score and when I find it I will post here. Below are some pics of my signed Chess Informant #1. The chess pieces in the picture appear to be from a Dubrovnik set.
