The only heckler here is Chessopera.

He has said many negative things about other sellers and their products, his competition.

He has never revealed or admitted that he is indeed a seller wrongly ripping his competition.

He is a fake and very unprofessional.

Chess customers do not need to take heed of hecklers. They want to divert their attention not only from the best sellers in Europe but also in the whole world.

The list of top quality vintage chess and non-vintage are:

1. Regency Chess

2. Crumiller

3. Luke Honey

4. Antique chess shop

5. Chessmonarch

6. Tim Millard

These sellers offer best quality and best price chess sets with superb customer service.

So now we all know the best sellers are the above and they offer 1st rate  products

Hi,

What can you people tell me about this chess set? Any help would be helpful.

You're on the right thread - your set is probably an Ayres set.

Looks very nice too!

I just bought this set on eBay, so I don’t have the set in my hands yet. The below are photos from the auction. Do you guys think it is an Ayres? If not what is it? It has no king side stamp on the rooks and knights. According to Frank the early Ayres sets did not have this stamping. It is also unweighted.

Nice, I like it!

Not very old and not a good quality, but I like it somehow.

Thanks Michael and @brasileirosim!

@brasileirosim I like your set too. It could be me but it looks older rather than newer. What do you consider old?
Avatar of MCH818
Now that I look a little closer I can see why you would think it looks newer. I can’t zoom on my app and I only focused on the knight which seems to have some wear.

Usually you can see that the patina and the bishops are not from an old set (not from the firth third of the 20st century). It is difficult to estimate the age, but I would say 1960s. But the big problems is the lack of quality (knights).

1960ish sounds right to me. To me that is still old. I guess our definitions of old differ slightly.

This reminds me of a funny story. My cousin-in-law is European. I told him I did some work for a nearby old church. He asked me how old it was. I said around 100 years old. He laughed. I took me a little while to understand why he was laughing. Obviously our definition of old also differed a lot.

In 1989 my wife and me went to Prague. We stood in front of a church that the guide said was   sacked by Atilla.  My wife  said that the church was very old.  I said, look at  that man and his wife, too your left. They are from Cairo, and they see the pyramids when they look out their window.
