Hi everyone, I am aware of the many book suggestions for books that were published in the 50s and later. But have any of you gone through any of the older classic chess books? Are any of them really good and worthwhile? If you have a suggestion please also indicate what level of player do you recommend it for?

Perhaps the Art of Chess by James Mason? (I don't know any more old books published before the 50s, but I do know that this is a very old book)

Also, you might check out Znosko-Borovsky's books
