Great. But I really like the lever type. Lever give a larger space to tap and no need for seeing the clock. But the programmable part is what the need of the hour. nice and simple looking clock. I think they would have send it for the "FIDE Chess Clock Contract bidding". Awaiting for the results.
Revolutionary CHESS CLOCK to hit the chess scene in December.

The lever type of clock is alright but not the best.
And a player certainly has no problem finding the button with his hand on this type of button.

I said "I like" Just my personal opinion. Lever feels better than touch or button.
It feels better?!?! How dare you expect something like this to feel better!
The above 2 sentences are intended to be nothing more than complete and honest humor. Of course it is also the complete truth in humor and as humor.

Any links to the new clock?
Not yet released. Did you read it completely? They are expected in the near future.

I guess I'll be the lone dissenter here.
Speaking for myself only, I prefer a timer that's self-contained and doesn't require a separate device to be operational. I see the advantages here, but still ...

I like it as an extra option. Because, this may only leave room for more technical errors. I don't know whats the problem in have few buttons like DGT does. Because Chronos, VTek, Zmart all have less buttons which makes them difficult to setup than DGT. What wrong in having few buttons?
Actually, the VTek is very easy to set. The Zmart is also not that bad.
I own and use all these clocks, including the DGT 3000.
Objectively speaking, the Vtek is the easiest to set. The DGT 3000 is the second easiest.
What I don't like about the DGT 3000 is that there is too much on the display making the display crowded.

Still they find it difficult to show the number of move which is the 2nd most a player needs. Strange that it needs a button press for number of moves.

That and the plastic of the DGT 3000 seems brittle.
Any links to the new clock? Overweight bears will be barred from buying one so, forget it!

@Mohan_Kumar_Chess,
I’m puzzled about your comment. Who are you calling a racist? And for what reason? If you keep throwing around comments like this, you are going to get muted or banned. There was nothing in any of the above comments to warrant what you wrote.
If you don't know, the comment above mine is intended for Racist against Indian companies. Racism doesn't mean directly attacking a person. He is just always calling Indian company Products cheap and of lower quality and attacking them intentionally. Just don't threaten me, instead help him how to behave. When he attack and calls it sarcasm its ok for you, but we should be silent hearing that. Thats what you expect? I have equal respect for everyone. You can ban me for whatever reason. I don't fear. But this piece of mindless Noj employee is trying hard to degrade and provoke us. Don't you see the purpose of that comment?

I was not about CB set. I showed a design, Lotus series set. Its not company, its about the design. First understand the context.

I was told it is not FIDE approved as of yet but in the process. It has no chance to be the FIDE clock. I would think DGT has that wrapped up. Just my opinion.

I was surfing the different chess vendors today to see what is new and saw this at HOS.
Maybe it will be available much sooner than I thought. Again I get no compensation for this post. I just think this clock sets a new standard, my opinion. And I have to add, I just learned (11/7) that the clock is made in the USA so warranty if ever needed or just to repair should be pretty straight forward.

First, let me say you can buy anything from the House of Staunton for the same price I can. I do not get anything for posting this. Why am I excited about this chess clock? Let me start out with...I saw a prototype in July 2018 in Madison, Wisconsin at the US OPEN. At the time Shawn told me it would sell for under $50 and be programmable from an app on your smartphone. Just tap the phone to the top of the clock and done. It is on Shawn's FB Home page, he just posted it today.
He also told me it will be available in sensor touch or push button. Looks pretty nice. Will count down seconds when it reaches 99 minutes like the Chronus GX. That to me is not a factor since most time controls are 100 minutes and below. Even if it is 40/120 as I believe the US OPEN was that is still no big deal.
What is amazing is the TD can go around just before the start of the tournament and for the players that have this clock just tap it and in 1 second it is done. Your clock never becomes obsolete. I was told back in 7/2018 it would be sent off to FIDE for approval, It has an optional move counter which you can freeze for FIDE events so I assume it is FIDE approved. It has 3 time controls increment/delay, all the bells and whistles. Only black at first if I understood him correctly then he will work on colored versions.
What is a HUGE breakthrough is a clock of this caliber selling for UNDER $50.00. When all the programming is in the app and not in the clock it helps to contain costs.
So far what I know, this clock will be a game-changer.
If you don't have a smartphone, no big deal. You can manually program the clock like any ZmartFun chess clock, which I am guessing is the maker of this clock.
The app will be for Android® or IOS®.
I only posting this because I get excited when I see a breakthrough in any chess equipment and I do believe this is huge. Seems to me the biggest complaint is programming and the second is cost. Both complaints are no longer valid with this clock. It looks very sturdy and quality made.
I guess all the details will be realized soon when it comes out.
I have a picture to post of it. And do believe me that I am not getting anything from HOS for this. Maybe Shawn will give people on chess.com a special discount to HOS when this comes out. Just thought I throw that in
Oh, the APP itself with have 70 presets or you can preset your own and it will be simple.
I am sure I left out a whole lot of details but just look at this beauty. The push-button is shown but you can also get it in the sensor touch. Just my guess this clock will be the best selling clock for years to come for obvious reasons. Technology comes through once again.
