Rybka vs. Toaster

If you were asking what is the more sophisticated piece of technology... definitely the toaster.

I just did a head-to-head test between the two.  The results were mixed:

• Rybka slaughtered the toaster in a game of chess, even when playing as black.
• When I inserted the Rybka CD into the toaster and pushed the lever down, the toaster was the clear winner.
• In a subsequent game of chess, this time with Rybka playing white, the toaster won on time.

2:1 victory for the toaster

Obviously, the world needs a chess playing toaster. If Rybka could make waffles in the morning, I'd be impressed.

So Rybka is better at chess, the Toaster is better at toasting and the toaster is more consistent. 

Both the toaster and Rybka can beat me at chess :(

I'll have the hash browns with a side of fries, please.

And a jacket potato.

Seriously you can control the temperature on that thing 

Bishops are clearly much stronger than knights especially in open positions with pawns on both sides of the board.
