If you were asking what is the more sophisticated piece of technology... definitely the toaster.
Rybka vs. Toaster

I just did a head-to-head test between the two. The results were mixed:
- Rybka slaughtered the toaster in a game of chess, even when playing as black.
- When I inserted the Rybka CD into the toaster and pushed the lever down, the toaster was the clear winner.
- In a subsequent game of chess, this time with Rybka playing white, the toaster won on time.

Obviously, the world needs a chess playing toaster. If Rybka could make waffles in the morning, I'd be impressed.
