Some Pictures of My Collection

I know it's not the most extensive collection floating around this board, but I figured I might as well throw my hat into the game with regards to the recent spat of collection posting mayhem. Apologies for the mismatched piece/board combos and photo quality.

Cool! I like looking at peoples collections. Do you have a place where you keep them setup?

#3 (Chess Store Staunton) is my favorite for everyday home analysis, as it's small and light enough to make running through a game fairly simple. I've had some issues with the eobnized pieces, but nothing more than a spot here or there on some of the bishop's mitres. I also love the wide bases on the set, makes everything pretty stable.

and #4 (HOS Professional)

This is currently my go-to travel set for friendly blitz and tournaments, and it's very well suited to the role. The pieces are all built like tanks, and are suitably balanced for rapid play, but the entire set still is enough to draw some positive comments in the looks department.

On pure aesthetic value, I'd go with 5, however. Of course, given that it's a decades old soviet plastic set, it hasn't exactly held up well enough to withstand the vigors of standard play, the design is still phenomenal in my book.

I have a shelf where I keep a set on dispaly, and I usually have one board set up on a regular basis for analysis where I'll occasionally rotate out sets. In an ideal world, I'd have a proper chess room with glass display cases and the lot, but alas, my significant other and space restrictions prevent this at the moment.
