Chess.com seems not to support Square-off Pro any longer and it is not possible to connect. At the moment Square-off is only available on lichess.

Lichess doesn't work for me either.

Lichess works perfectly, I tested today. For connecting to lichess you need to sign in. Apparently, Chess.com does not support Square-off Pro any longer

Maybe... the Square-Off Pro no longer supports chess.com

My Square-off works with Lichess perfectly but I no longer can connect to chess.com

They will not work with Jörn. I believe he has reached out. The SquareOff product is a dead product, unfortunately. It had promise (and I can comment on it because I won not one, but two) but it has failed miserably.

Chessconnect does not work with Square-off and is also a redundant app for Chessnut and Chessup. Square-off has its own app which I use regularly for playing chess on lichess.

Chessconnect does not work with SquareOff because the company refused to work with Jörn (the creator of Chessconnect).

It is not in any way a "redundant app" for those boards because it fills a different need. It is a complementary product. It works very, very well and both Chessnut and Chessup worked with Jòrn on the integration. If they did not see the value they would not have worked with him.

Shows how much the company that supports your precious (but I believe imaginary) SquareOff Pro cares about their users.

As someone who owns 2 SquareOff Pros, as well as 7 other e-boards, I can honestly say the SO Pro is a horrible e-board.

As for you regularly playing on Lichess, what is your username there? I would love to challenge you to a game or two over there - you constantly say you play there but you never tell us what your username is there.

The point is Chessconnect is unnecessary because Square-off has its own app which works perfectly and it does not make any sense to introduce a third party app and create a connection crowded junction. As for Chessnut its app takes only seconds to connect both to Chess.com and Lichess and runs so smoothly that using chessconnect is like travelling on a monoplane while an airbus A350 is available outside your door. Similarly, chessup also has an efficient, use-friendly app which is times and times better and faster than third party apps such as chessconnect!
I prefer Square-off Pro and often play on it because it is standard board size with big size standard pieces, in contrast, both Chessnut Air and Chessup are too tiny and are in fact travel size which does not make much sense to play on them at home unless you want to take them on an express train or on a picnic in the countryside. Chessnut Pro is equally good and even better than Square-off Pro but it is twice more expensive and besides it is difficult to store it as unlike Square-off Pro the board does not fold.

Your opinions are garbage.

You have zero experience with any e-board, your posts show that.

Yes i see this in the comment

The SO Pro is an excellent board, which had been let down by a rather poor App.

Avatar of SpanishStallion
Yes, the board and the pieces are excellent. The app is OK but surely it is high time it was updated and upgraded and the SO Pro producers and distributors must really look into this.
