I've just finished my latest Staunton set and want to share it with you. This is a combination of true Staunton style with a few of my own design nuances. The set features a 3-3/4" king (9.5 cm) with a 1-1/2" base (3.8 cm), perfect for boards with 2" squares. Each piece is weighted and has the traditional green felt. Dark pieces are ebonized black walnut and the white pieces are hard rock maple, finished off with a satin lacquer. This set uses the German Knight design. Double queens are provided for pawn promotion.
