Hi. I can highly recommend the DGT Non Electronic board in walnut. It is the same size as the DGT electronic board with 55mm squares. I am on my phone but can add pics if needed. Lovely board.

You can get 2 Rechapados Ferrer boards for that money (one in walnut), or stretch it for Drueke repro in walnut.

I only Pais £100 for it, here are some photos.

Always LOVE seeing that contrast between the straight grain walnut and the wavy grain maple on your Non-E DGT board!

thumbup.png   €55.74 price

thumbdown.png   €37.00 shipping to the US.

Total shipped price is still under €100 so that's not too bad.

do anyone have any experience with that website, because its lookin like its a scam, kinda old

chessgamesshop.com located in Slovenia is an official DGT dealer listed on the DGT site (link below). I have not ordered from them. Maybe contact them and ask a few questions before ordering if that makes you more comfortable.

Do you have some suggestion for affordable chess pieces? Also thank you very much, u helped me a lot.

Why don't the larger websites (House of Staunton etc.) carry the non-electronic board if they carry the electronic versions?  It seems the non-electronic board is difficult to find and it doesn't make sense as to why that is the case.

Old and scammy looking? That site is beautiful compared to: https://www.legendproduct.com/

And Legend Products is a highly regarded vendor here. The site is so old looking and barely functioning its early 80s Retro Cool! Haha.

Since you are in England I would recommend the Chess and Bridge Online Shop.  I know the owners and the GM who runs the business.  Great people that know their products.

thanks

American Chess Equipment

That's good to know as I've used them quite a lot. Decent prices I think.

Anyone try the RCM players choice boards?

A good bit cheaper than the JLP (which I love btw).   I was also looking at that ColoradoWoodworker guy on etsy.

Not a huge fan of that DGT board.  Isn’t that a veneer type board?

Avatar of lotsoblots

The DGT electronic and non-electronic boards *are* veneer but they're made by Rechapados Ferrer and they're beautiful (to me, anyway). The ColoradoWoodWorker boards are discussed (recently) in this thread:

Good luck!
