I fully agree with the first statement. I had a look at a free copy of the course and, although it does include useful tips, it is not worth spending money on. If you browse through the forum on chess.com you will find the same recipe: spend time on tactics (50%), endgame (30%) and opening (20%; with use of annotated master games).
I plan to start to test a training program and write about my experiences every day.
