Hello Chess fans. This is a set I designed and made myself. These pieces were 3D printed in bamboo filament and matte black resin.

Here's a video so you can see them in action :-)

Excellent design and execution! Kudos. A beautiful set. What are the dimensions?

I like this design. Nice job!

Are they weighted?

Powderdigit

Very impressive. I really like the look. I followed the link to some of your related videos;  informative and helpful. I note the red felt too - I think this looks excellent on these pieces and creates a lovely but subtle contrast on how they sit the black and white board you are using. Great stuff.

@DrChesspain - when looking at the video above, I found my way to this video -  it seems the pieces can have weights added after being printed. It's all new to me but very interesting nonetheless.

@loubalch - enjoyed our last game very much; once again you came out on top! It seems I just can't hold or perhaps settle into my 1200 daily rating - but happy to be playing and learning. Great fun. (PS - more experienced players please don't laugh at my 1100-1200 rating... I'm trying and enjoying the game - purely a novice.)

Very nice!

@sound67 Thanks, here's a closeup video of one of the knights: https://www.instagram.com/p/COcY5Dxn_5u/

@loublach The king for this set is 10cm (3.9 inches) however you can print them at any size.

@DrChesspain Yes, the king is 65g (2.2oz) and the pawns are 35g (1.2oz). As you can see in the video linked above, I add the weights after printing and secure them with filler before adding the felt.

@Powderdigit thanks for the feedback and for answering questions :-)

Here's another video showing how I paint the resin pieces:

Those look great - love them.

They look surreal - I thought that video was a render, initially.

Are you selling pieces or the design?

Conor_OKane

@teamason - You can buy the STL files to 3D print your own set from http://3dprintedchess.com and there is also a list of licensed vendors who can print a set for you if you don't have a 3D printer. Just contact one of the stores in your area from the 'Buy Printed Sets' page and ask them for a quote.
