The Logical Approach to Chess

Just started reading The Logical Approach to Chess. I can say its a very interesting read. Reads like a military manual. It does however use a non-algebraic notation. So that does take some getting used to if you haven't seen it before.

Has anyone else worked with this book? What are your thoughts on it?

I may have read this book years ago. If it's the book I'm thinking of, it's a decent book. When I took up chess again a few years ago, I bought a few newer books. For beginners and even intermediate players, some of the best books I've read are by GM Yasser Seirawan. I enjoyed all of his books I have; very easy to read and very informative.

I suggest checking out, Play Winning Chess, as well as, Chess Openings. This a link to Amazon.com where you can read reviews and a bit more about these books and others by him.
