NICE DESIGN!
The Mother of All Magnetic Chessboards
This accent is so cool!
However, for making notes on the game, I prefer boards with numbers on their sides.
@CrimsonKnigt: He said it's unique so you won't be able to get one.
Lol, maybe he will start making, and selling them. Its nicely done, and I am pretty sure I would not be an only customer. His accent is cool also.
Perhaps he could add them as well 9kick9. That would be a nice tournament board if it had numbers, and letters along the edge as well. Light weight, easy to store, along with a nice set of chess pieces, and clock, you would not need a very big bag. The vinyl ones get creased, and some start cracking after awhile. A wooden board is much better.
do the magnets interact w/ weights in pieces?
No, I haven't noticed that, the magnets are not that strong.
If a piece is pinned the magnet does not allow it to be moved.
Now that would be cool!
It is nice but, I prefer at least a slight border on my boards. Like at least a half inch border.
I like it without the boarder. Less dead weight for travel. Awesome job Izmet.
But could you play a few moves on it so we know it works?
I played that video last night (Halloween) and my wife thought it was a halloween sale.
If a piece is pinned the magnet does not allow it to be moved.
hehehe, good! And if you didn't 'see' the opponent's move, does the board prevent it!!
One of a kind.
