Just out of curiosity. What happened to the wooden set of the same design? I know the only place to get it was on the Rochester Chess center website but I don't see them there anymore. I would also like to have the matching wood set to go with the plastic.

You have to be on the wait list to get the special price and the pre-order offer. will be cutting people to seed the market, but the price will be nowhere near the deal you get on the pre-order list.

Thank you for the email notification Mr. Lohrman. As soon as I woke up today I put my order in for 2 sets and a light blue rollup board. They look outstanding and will be used and played with quite extensively throughout my travels with pleasure.
Long awaited order has been placed. Now the waiting game for the wood version begins.

. I have the vintage version that has been to hell and back and held up well. IMO you won't find better fighting set.
Thx 4 the mail notification. The shipping costs to Europe are steep. I wanted to pre-order 4 sets (+- 100$) but with the shipping costs the order reached a total of +- 320$.

Ordered a couple last night. Shipping costs to Canada suck (but much better than to Europe, apparently) but I couldn't resist and I can't wait to send these pieces into battle.
Good day Mr. Lohrman, will the new Bobby Fischer Series Triple Weighted Chess Set - 3.75" King look the same as the photo on the website when you receive them? I just placed myself on that waiting list. Good looking set and I will want to obtain two of these new sets when they arrive and are available for purchase..
Thinking about doing something cool with the pre-orders. I would like to reward a random customer on the wait list for all their patience. Maybe something like the 2 order numbers that matches the year my dad won the US Amateur Championship (2 digits only) and my godson's Hockey Jersey number with a free Wood Grain mousepad chess board (one of our new designs).
What do you think?
