Using Fritz while analyzing games on Chessbase

Hi,

I have a decently powerful new HP laptop that runs Windows 11, and I downloaded Chessbase 16 and Fritz 17. However, when I'm running Fritz while analyzing games in Chessbase, my computer often freezes for 7-8 seconds and then starts operating smoothly again. I'd have thought that a new laptop could easily handle Fritz 17 in a smooth manner. Any ideas as to why Fritz freezes my laptop when I'm using Chessbase? Is there some driver I need to update?

Thanks for any ideas.

Thank you very much, but would you mind giving some direction as to how to do this? I can't see how to adjust such things in the Fritz program...

Oh, thanks very much. I switched the hash 1024MB (it was around 2700 or something). I didn't see "processors" under "parameters," but I saw "threads" and reduced that from 3 to 1. So far, that seems to have helped. Thank you very much again.
