Two questions. 1) How does black see the pieces? 2) Is advertising like this allowed by forum rules?

I read the forum rules and didn't see anything saying you could not post this.  Thanks for asking

More for display than for actual playing.  Again thanks for the questions.

I asked about advertising this way as I truly had no idea. So I looked up the relevant rules as well and found this “Spam is any post that is advertising goods or services in multiple threads. Advertising chess equipment, studies, or lessons is permitted if limited to one or two relevant threads.” So it look like you’re correct so long as you don’t go beyond this thread. Good luck with your sales and marketing!

Thanks for checking and that's the way I understood it as well.

Personally, I've always liked it when vendors--especially the lesser-known, smaller companies--post like this.  Everybody wins.

The vendor should tell us a bit more about the product. Looked on their website and this set wasn’t immediately apparent so a bit of detail here would be helpful. If the lid gets in the way of black’s line of sight can the board be turned 90 degrees? How big is the piece overall ? If at all playable how big are the pieces snd board?

I see a handle on the board, and the board is disconnected from the rest of the piece, so you can probably rotate it.

Would make a good BBQ. Are the black squares grills to let the heat through? Lift the board and put some coal in the drum.

Nah, I guess the board lifts and rotates through 90 degrees for playing, and the space beneath can be used for storage.

What’s are the board and square sizes and how tall of a king can i put in there and it still close properly?

When it comes to chess sets luxury may mean chessmen that are made with great attention to detail, hand carved, triple weighted with an exotic wooden board. But for some players the term luxury set may mean something completely different, some décor lovers may choose a luxurious well-crafted 3D themed game for décor purpose, whereas another fan may prefer a high-quality luxury Staunton chess set, which is mostly preferred by the players.

BTW, how about this one?

In the photos I find the street art makes the pieces confusing. Interesting but not for a geezer like me!

Agreed. This set is not for a regular play. It's good only for decor purpose or for casual play.
