Interesting. I know many Dubrovnik sets were made there, but those are usually quite close (albeit a bit crude) copies of the original design. If you heard it from different sources, it might even be true. I must look into this. I don't mind standing corrected.

I sold clock. It is HAC. On the clock was year '35.
Seller told me that , chessmen made in Lepoglava and it is Dubrovnik (commemorative)
