Vonset P6 - help please

I hope someone can answer this, it is driving me nuts! Recently bought a Vonset P6 to help my game development. The instructions are very basic but it seems straight forward to set up. However, whenever I switch on the voice says “something” before adding a piece name, .

“(garbled words) white pawn”

I have tried with no pieces on the board thinking it wants me to set up each piece - no difference. I have tried setting up the board and then switching on, same response. English is my native tongue but I just cannot understand what it is saying!

Can anyone enlighten me please?

BTW, if I ignore it and try moving pieces it just keeps responding the same phrase, as though it is expecting me to perform an action.

I have reset the board. It is brand new. Thank you.

Hi,
from this video the garbled words are "please take back that" - most certainly meaning you have a misplaced piece the device wants you to either move or better align (if on expected square but not centered enough). More videos here (they are very recent - 3 to 4 days back).
