Of course they vary since you'd need to play "at least 2450 level" in order to beat the Grandmaster. Also if you set the program to never resign you'll get a way too big rating at the end of such a game.
What Is the Significance of the Ratings on Fritz 16?
I beat Fritz 16 yesterday and after saying I had "played like a King," it estimated my Elo rating at 2200. But in the real world I'm struggling to stay in the 800s, so something must be wrong.
On the Fritz 16 Chess program, the machine gives the human player ongoing Elo ratings which change according to the player's perceived quality of play. At the end of the game, it gives a net rating for the human player. But my question is, how serious are these assigned ratings? They seem a bit too generous to me. Do they vary according to the level at which the person plays against Fritz, such as Hobby, Club Player, etc.?
