Yes.

This is obviously Chess 960 enhanced, they even flipped the board to make grandmasters scratch their heads thinking how to write down a move ;)

kenardi

Checkers anyone?

TheOldReb

There are only 24 total checkers at the start of the game . Surprised

They're just trying to make some cash off of stuff they found I don't blame them.

At the Hunter's Point Park in Queens, the chessboards are built into the tables. If you sit the way you are supposed to, the black squares are on the right side of the board. Yell

Yup... you don't see chess players there too often.

Must have consulted the same marketing expert as post #6

Putting the pieces staggered like that makes sense.  It's easier to see all the pieces.

@Kenardi, I've often found that when people set up the pieces or board incorrectly, not only are they not chessplayers, they often have no clue to the value of what they are selling, and as a consequence the merchandise is either vastly overpriced, or vastly underpriced. I've gotten some great deals that way.

Laughing  That is what keeps me looking... always looking for the second mentioned.

The most common overpriced chess sets I see are those $10 glass sets you find just about anyplace.

PremiumDuck

can you nerds identify this set?
