Where can I buy this set?
This looks like a really good, basic set. Not a big fan of plastic sets even though wood chips easier when playing blitz
Yeah that looks like a Lardy chess set. there are lots of them on ebay. You should be able to snag one up on the cheap. Personally I think there are better wooden chess sets than that one for the money in the budget category, but to each their own.
I would say a Lardy set also. The Basic Club set derives from the French Lardy design. I am like you. Not a fan of plastic Club sets but I do like the wooden version though.
All of these are reputable dealers - good products, good service. The Lardy set you are asking about is ubiquitous, you will find it or something similar in most chess stores...

Personally I wouldn't recommend thechessstore.com. Here lately I have had customer service issues with them. Delay in responding to my emails. Along with wrong or not sending out replacements at all when requested. Plus their prices are quite high compared to the other vendors you posted.
If you want a good wooden set that isn't going to break the bank. I would suggest this one from House of Chess.

I've purchased several chess sets from The Chess Store and have never experienced any of the issues you described. My experiences with them have all been positive. In fact I was unhappy with the color of the dark pieces of one set I had purchased from them and they replaced the entire set promptly, no questions asked, and for no additional cost to me. On the other hand my last purchase with them was probably about five years ago.
I have also purchased sets from the other stores as well, all with positive experiences.

That appears to be a decent Lardy set for the price.
Buy from a reputable dealer. They are typically likely to help you if you happen to end up with a 'leaner", or any other problems with the set...and always inquire about their guarantees/warranties prior to purchase...
The lardy sets look different to me. The queen in the image that I posted has a flat top. The lardy sets have a rounder top queen
You'll notice that Lardy pieces typically have relatively top-heavy Kings & Queens.....more so than non-Lardy sets...
