Which set?

Hi guys!

Soon i will buy my first luxury chess set.

My budget is around 300 to 400 euro.

My dilema is, chess bazar, or chess regency or thechessset.uk.

Chess bazar have a tons of beautiful sets, but i heard that some of them lacking on the quailty side..chess regency is a bit pricier, thechessstore also.

Which set do you recomend, and from which site?

Have you perused the Official Staunton site? They have many fine sets and the quality is outstanding.

Yes, I have, but shipping cost is way to high, 300 bucks, something like that, I am from Croatia.

Shipping cost from Oficial Staunton to Croatia is 65euro, stil quite expensive, but you are right, some very beautiful sets right there!

Given the choices you have established and most things considered equal I would pick the set that has the color and type of knights that would really satisfy my eye and tastes. In this case the second choice from Regency chess "The Stretford Knight" set would be my pick but they all have their distinctive merits to behold. Then again if I were located just 73 miles from Slovenia as you are,  I'd pay Gregor Novak from Noj Slovenia a visit after I've saved a little more and purchase a quality set from him. Good luck in your choice.

I've purchased dozens of sets from chessbazaar in the past few years and I'm very pleased with all of them. Their luxury chess pieces are of excellent quality, very well finished and extremely VFM.
