If it's an 8-year old who is < 1200 then a coach might be a great idea. If a 58-year old is < 1200 then I doubt a coach will make much of a difference. So it depends.

I assume you’re asking because you’re not improving any longer?
If so I’d be interested to take a look at how you play. Yes, I’ve helped some beginners before but don’t have enough experience to call myself a coach, so that’s not where I’m coming from. I’m older (in my 60s), have time, and would like more experience with chess analysis, learning methods & such.
