Yet also, somehow, missing the point.

It's perfectly true that you could become a better basketball player by playing pick up games against other aspiring players every day, avoiding playing games against friends who don't take the game seriously, and deliberately practicing shooting, free throws and otherwise.

So why are there basketball coaches? Why is it unheard of for any athlete - or chess player - to become world class without having had a coach, even very early on? Why do amateur athletes, dancers, singers, etc. pay for the services of instructors, trainers, coaches, teachers, etc.?

Don't forget to analyze your games instead of demanding a rematch.

Now you're just talking crazy.  No one needs to do their own analysis when the engine can just tell them how many brilliant moves they made, and how their CAPs score has them playing like a GM.

Now thats the road to improvement!

I'm not impressed with this analyzer. I have an opening for black that is great yet half the time the analyzer says certain moves in the opening are inaccuracies. It also tries to list it as a different opening than what it is.

I'm to the point now I dont have to analyze my blunders. Takes about two seconds for me to realize I just screwed up. About that time I yell you've got to be kidding me.
