How has chess AI impacted the way chess is taught and chess coaches? I'm an enthusiast of the Chinese board game Go, and in 2016 Go engines have finally been able to consistently beat the strongest human Go players by a pretty wide margin. So a bunch of people started to worry about the future of Go and they're saying that Go coaches have become obsolete because AI is the new teacher or something like that, and that they think that the game has been definitively solved. What can Go players and enthusiasts learn from the experience chess players had with chess AIs? Have chess AIs made chess coaches obsolete?
I wouldn’t say so because a coach can do an analysis, give feed back, explain the ideas and whys behind certain moves, openings or situations, strategies from a human perspective so they can understand it.
