Under promotion in the first example is necessary since white has mate in one anyways, also in the last example it’s a draw either way since white cannot checkmate with just a knight

In example no.3 black is still winning. In example no.2 promotion isn’t required at all

As for example no.2, under promoting a is a bad move, since two knight checkmate is very difficult when you have mate in 3 just by moving the king
