Agree Penpaperbrains ,Im in that category ,not competitive player ,but grow up more than thousand kids introduce to chess and hundreds of them become 2200 elo players under my magic stick for 3 years or so ,a few become Fm 's and just fee of them IM's.. im simply chess proffesor ,theoretican and secundant ,thats it ..First at all to be honest with myself ,no one need a trainer ,everyone need just a someone to give them chess path and watching them to go there in proper way.Today is a sea of coaches who are good players but most of them had no succes with students.
