Hi. I have been playing chess for about 30 years. I’m stuck at elo 1300. I have done a lot of chess training. Reading books, looking at chess videos, but I ‘m still keep blundering my pieces. I’m starting to believe that training doesn’t help. I have reached my level of strength. What are your take on this.

I have played chess over the years, but just recently discovered there is more to chess than knowing how the pieces move.

Hey everybody my name is Bhavya Singhal. I am 17 years old. My current rating is 1903 and a peak of 1954.
Teaching methodology
- I focus on systematic game analysis since I believe that each individual student is different with different needs (The main reason why I avoid giving group lessons)
- I have quite a bit of material on every topic which I use for classes and assign for homework
- I put a big emphasis on calculation as it is something that has to be consistently worked upon
- I am a big believer in spending time on one's own time on chess since the main improvement comes from the student and not the coach.
Coaching Achievements
- Have students who I have brough from 700 USCF to 900 USCF in 6 months
- Another student from 1450 USCF to 1630 USCF in 4 months
- My students place highly in state, national , continental youth tournaments
Coaching Rates
My current rate is $25/hr. The first lesson is usually a trial you only pay if you want to continue with me, but if you don't then you don't need to pay. I am open to discussion and compromise if for some reason you cannot afford the rate.
