Hello all. I'm hoping for feedback. I am rated roughly 1500 to 1550 in 10 minute games (not currently...I think due to a period of inactivity). I've averaged at least a game a day for the past 20 years. Chess.com has the Lesson Guide broken down into sections. I'm confident that I can instruct and mentor people through the concepts and principles contained in "New to Chess (How to Play), "Beginner (fundamentals)", and perhaps even some of the "Intermediate (Key Concepts).".....and I can do so without blatantly plagiarizing the work already done on this site.
Thoughts....comments....concerns????
I just want to help new players learn how to win more. I would gladly tell anyone with serious aspirations of becoming a Master, to pass me by.
1500-1550 is certainly enough to teach the basics, but I would also caution any students you might have that you're still learning yourself. If possible find someone a bit stronger than you in your area and teach co-op with them, you'll learn a lot as well as make it a better experience. Good luck!
