A grave responsibility.

A grave responsibility it is to be a Mentor. I am going to put myself out there once again. I will Coach anyone who can give me a good reason why they think they have the ability to become a GM.

I nominate you. Why not coach yourself?

Okay, I'll bite.  Given your decidedly mediocre ratings here, what possible qualifications would you have to coach someone to the GM level?

waffllemaster

The more you know, the less you understand.  Knowledge clouds the mind and hides the truth.  Only a beginner can coach a master.  This is the Tao of chess.

George, I need coaching.  The reason why I feel I have GM ability is because of my memory.  I have an incredible memory.

Yesterday at the store, I went to get a jug of milk, along with a box of crackers.....and GUESS WHAT?? I came home with BOTH.  I remembered to get BOTH.

You remember that all the way from yesterday?

George you better scoop this guy up, if you don't hurry Kasparov may get him, and then he can claim to have trained both Carlsen and TUBESTER.  (Even though the Carlsen thing is such a fake lol).

I stand (sit actually) corrected.  Thank you Sifu Waffle.  I know it won't last, but your wisdom enabled a moment of enlightenment that will hopefully change my life and enable me to enter the tao.  I noticed from George1st's picture that he has already taken a vow of poverty since he doesn't own a shirt.  May we all be worthy of his further posting...

No one wants to be mentored to GM by Coach George?  I'm shocked....

That's Coach George 1st.

I was going to volunteer, but the Tubester is obviously far more qualified than I.

I would have forgotten at least one.....

With the thread title, I thought this was along the lines of the thread  about other jobs of chess players and someone had undertaken grave digging for a living.

I have the ability to be a GM because I've learned from chess.com all there is to know about the most important things: Fischer vs Kasparov and Knights vs Bishops.

So in fact there's nothing more you can teach me...

You are not a true master until you understand the meaning of strategically position.

We await to your answer, grasshopper.

I have an incredible memory too, I just forget to use it. ;)

I shall put your request under consideration. I will need another week at least to answer all my mail, requests etc. : )

THETUBESTER, I have to admit at this early stage your words are already of a GM long ago.

I still have hundreds of applications to go through and will get back to you also in a week or so.

Also, reconsider me coaching you and merely adopt what you already have and I would estimate no longer than 3 months for your status to be awarded to you, sir. : )))

A grave responsibility.

But I dig it...! Bury it...! Carry it...!

This is my promise to you all. Analyze just 1 of my games from my vast vault Archive and you will never  look down upon your abilities again.
