So I want to get better at chess, mostly self taught. and I'm looking for some causal game and feedback afterwards. I don't have a lot of time due to two jobs and two kid (one is 8 months, and 6) plus a wife but I really want to have another pair of eyes to help me see some middle game and endgame tactics I miss. thank you in advance.

 Hey jus10,

do yourself a favor and stop playing fast games if you really want to improve. It sounds hard having two jobs, 2 kids and a wife, so there isn't probably that much time to play something else than Blitz or Bullet, but at this pace you don't have the time to calculate and look for the best move. Maybe than you won't play 5 or 6 games a day, but only 1 or 2. The result will be that you have a better view in critical moments. You asked for help at tactics, so I guess you already followed the opening lessons about tactics, if not that's something you should do. Another I suggest: Before you move one of your pieces, always (!) have a look at the following the three points:

  1. Position of the King (Is there a check-mate coming up?)
  2. Weak figures (are all the figures safe or are they maybe overloaded?)
  3. Forcing moves (moves like an attack or check to make figures weak or a check-mate possible)
  4. Turn your sight and take a look at your position! (1 - 3, can you defend it?)

I think, it's already a good idea to play daily, but if you can make it play 1 or 2 games at 15/10 a day.

I hope, I could help you.
