My Grandson is 6 months old, a little young, but how and when should I start to introduce him to chess? I was holding him while playing my chess.com games on my tablet and he couldn't take his eyes off of it, then when I closed it he wasn't quite as happy. Any tips?

Tell his parents about your ideas.

I agree. Tell his parents about the idea. It's there choice. But in my opinion, if he liked looking at the chess board, then I guess let him look at you play some more, and maybe he will be interested in playing when he grows older.

According to a commercial, the child is attracted to the tires--he must want to be a mechanic.  You can address this to his parents, assuming he has any, but don't take a interest in the checkered board as an interest in chess.

He probably doesn't have a particular interest for chess. He's only 6 months old, so he probably just likes to look at it. But maybe you can develop it into an interest for chess. But what does a commercial about tires have to do with it?

His parents are in agreement.  I think mostly he was interested in the tablet happy.png
