According to me there are a lot of other solutions to this position. After
gxh6.Bg7
h7+ wins also
If Kh8 white plays his knight to f7 in due time giving checkmate.
If Kf8 white playse his knight to f7 in due time and the rest is like in the proposed solution.
So its unclear to me why this move (h7) is rejected as a solution.
