Punishing Bad Openings 3 - Disaster on f7!

This is diagram from position on "Punishing Bad Openings 3 - Disaster on f7!" in "Intermediate: Openings" and here after Bxf7 Chess Mentor says:

"!! White sacrifices their bishop to bring Black's king out in the open. Note a move like 5.Bg5 is too slow as Black can play 5...e6 and defend everything."

My qustion is: If white play 5. Bg5 and Black (like Chess Mentor says) play 5...e6 then White can capture Black queen. How is this bad?

I just completed this lesson and also noticed this mistake.

I think it was supposed to say f6 and not e6 since f6 would check whites bishop forcing them to backoff

Yes. Bg5 would be defended by f6, not e6 as e6 would result in Bxd8.
