I hope all have seen the Magnus Carlsen vs Gukesk. D in the Norway Chess open, were Magnus slams the table in frustration. That is because he was winning in the entire game and a sudden blunder it went to Gukesh's side.
We have seen he frustrated after some loses, he even admitted that he cried after a lose in the interview. So, it is simple Magnus things

Did you realize that only Magnus’ king fell over in the table slam?
He is a manly chess player. Filled with manly feelings, not girly ones. He shook the hand of the weakling and apologized. A noble gesture.

It was nice of Magnus to apologize quickly afterwards. It looked like it bothered Gukesh a little but Gukesh stayed cool.
