You don't get to world no 10 by playing blitzt. But his succes in Freestyle chess has probably been giving him a greater believe in his own strength in unknown positions.

Everyone is still weaker than prime Martin bot
Vincent Keymer is up to #8 now. He barely missed out on qualifying for the candidates at the grand swiss. He blundered a win away & only drew against Bluebaum who got into the candidates. They should have a rating minimum of 2700 for the candidates.
Maybe Vincent will qualify by finishing top 3 in the world cup starting in 3 weeks.
Ahem..... #6 now.

Aaaand he's #4 now. He just went from #10 to #4 super fast.
Many might think that gaining 20 rating points ain't really a big deal but at the very top end of the rating list it is if it's really fast. It might show that Vincent has even higher potential. Remember, he hasn't had his 21st birthday yet.
Well Vinny is still #4 and climbing. I really hope he can finish top 3 at the world cup. He should've qualified for the candidates at the fide grand swiss but drew that winning ending against Bluebaum. He's got the perfect coach with Leko.
