No Easy Way To Say This

On the morning of February 8th 2023 Julie Howells better known to many of you as admin 'Kohai' passed away in her sleep after a long illness aged 56.  I know she loved all of you and you deserved to know.

Just got off phone with Coroners office in LLanelli, it's complicated will update in  while.

How very sad.  My deepest sympathies to her family.  R.I.P. Julie aka Kohai you were the best.

All the times I (and some of my friends) may have picked on her in a past life were all in jest but I'm guessing and hoping she knew that.

Rip Julie and my condolences to your family. You will be missed here. 

Jules trained me and trying to help take some of the weight of support off her shoulders was my mission for a long time here at Chess.com. I'm sorry she has departed, but glad that she's at peace now, reunited with her lost loved ones. Thanks for sharing the news here. My condolences!

I didn't know her well, but we exchanged a few messages in her later account, @Retired_Workaholic.  She will be missed.

She is still in my friends list and missed her after she left. She truly was a good person. She was very kind and gentle, even when people didn't deserve it. I am not sure if any of the family will ever see this, but I mourn your loss also and pray God be with you and comfort you. 

  I don't know how but a once a yr tournament should be set up.   The Kohai tournament.

@Kohai was always helpful. She held this site together the first few years.

Kohai was super.  She is missed.  RIP.
