Here is a sample opening with 1.a4:
How do you get your board to make illegal moves? I can't figure it out.
Type the moves into the PGN box.
Why should I need to? I see no reason why.
You need to if you make illegal moves like e5 after a4. f5 is forced!
Last time I checked, it never said anywhere in the rules of chess that f5 is "forced" after a4.
You expect the rules of chess come with a 32 piece tablebase?
okay, this topic is getting ridiculous. I think we should stop it.
Well I think only playing unrated games is rediculous. Even if it doesn't affect me in any way I think everyone should stop it.
I agree and add (hopefully) the last word-
I do not understand your actions. Do you think that everyone here is greatly moved by your disapproval and will stop posting on account of it? If you disapprove so much why do you keep coming back?

I will accept your challenge to play a standard game and I will play 1.a4 and show you its power. Second game I can play 1.e4 and 2.Ke2!! When do you want to play?
If people are having fun while demonstrating to all the genius and unparalleled brilliancy of this move I dont see the problem surely?
Everyone here is talking about 1.e4 as being bad, but what about other ones, like d4 or Nf3?
I never said 1.e4 is bad. Because I said this already. 1.e4 allows 2.Ke2!! so it is a good move. 1.d4 Allows 2.Kd2! it isn't to bad. but 1.Nf3??? or 1.c4?? both loses because you cannot develop your king properly .

develop your king properly .
Maybe you should re-learn basic opening principles.

Maybe you should open your mind to new ideas.

How is "developing" your king so important? It is your most precious piece!
never too early to start thinking about the endgame, as they say
although the endgame might come quicker than expected if you play 2. Ke2 ;)
checkmateibeatu, you tell me to learn opening principles, but what's the point if I know endgame principles? Centralize your king early. If you think I don't know chess then have the courage to play me one game. (Blitz or Standard, not bullet because I can't prove my point in bullet) I will show you how 2.Ke2!! or 1.a4 both wins. I got to 1400 by playing 2.Ke2!! so I would know.
