1...c5,1...e5,or 1...Nf3.
1. c4
Probably you have the most played reaction of Black. But there are several possibilities on c4. Like I said in http://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-openings/jaenisch-gambit-on-c4 I come with b5. The Jaenisch Gambit.

I play 1...f5 against 1. c4, trying to veer the lines into Dutch territory. You may consider the Classical Dutch lines - they are pretty fun to play!

Mostly I play 1. ... c5, the idea that White will usually play 2. Nc3 or 2. g3 and I follow with 2. ... e6 and then with 3. ... d5 trying to get White to transpose (by playing d4) and play against a Tarrasch Defense. Basically I am praying my English playing opponent won't know the Tarrasch as well as I know it. If White doesn't transpose I usually get equality or just a slightly worse position. If I need to win, then I usually will play 1. c4 e5 and end up with a reversed Sicilian, a much more difficult proposition for Black.

When I play as white I mostly start with C4 and I don't care what my opponent will answer except one move: 1 ... C5 I hate Symmetrical!

Well, I play the symmetrical because I play the english as white too and therefore am very comfortable in english - y positions for black!

I have played 1...c5 for a while, going for a botvinnik set-up most of the time. I find that the positions are often too symmetrical for my taste though and get boring. Therefor I am switching to 1...f5, since that will be my new defence against d4, I might aswell get more practice with it by using it against other openings aswell.
I saw that topic about "what do people play after 1. d4?", and I got curious about what people answer to 1. c4.
Post here your move after 1. c4.
I'll start:
After 1. c4 I play 1. ... e5, because I think the following moves are easy to guess, as they are quite obvious.
