I think openings like that are very playable in blitz and can be fun. I play the paleface for the same reason. But of course there is a reason it is not main theory and you can be outplayed quickly against stronger players with stuff like that.

Icofy base has 100 odd games.

Late 60's a guy named Gedult (same as Gedult's opening???) won 5 games with this.

It's hard to find another win in the next 100 games....

Yeah, indeed Gedult used it but starting with f3 then going e4 (not so much difference :D).

He found some nice traps for white if black captures the e- and f-pawn and opens position for white.

One of such games, queen sacrifice into mate: http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1243238

after e6 white have  to face lot of hurdles

Why is it? exd5 and after exd5 d4 and I'd say it's not bad for white..

Maybe this isn't very relevant because of the difference in elos, but this is a game between my friend and me. No moves are made until the 13th turn, and then a quick mate follows.

Qe2 is stupid and d3 just trades the queens leaving you in a worse endgame with no castling rights. or loses a pawn.

2 Qe2 is not stupid, but if you want to call it stupid remember that 1...d5 by black is also stupid, making 2.Qe2 less stupid
