1.e4 e5 2.Qh5

You can reallly get a rating like yours playing the Queen raid  opening?  Wow , all my study has been wasted, I should have kept playing the one I used in grade school.

Let's talk about 1.e4 e5 2. Qh5.  Is it a real opening or just a cheap trick designed for beginning players?  When I coached a grade school chess team, I taught this opening mainly because I knew that my players would be facing it in the tournaments, and gave them the option to play it, but also told them that as they improved they would find it to be inadequate.  The opening is advocated by Bernard Parham, a high ranked player from Indiana, and he teaches it to scholastic chess clubs. Any thoughts or experiences with this opening?
