6... Nbd7 in the Bg5 Najdorf

It seems like the 6...Nbd7 line against the Bg5 has become quite a bit more popular recently (maybe the last 5 years). It seems like maybe 10 years ago these lines were not especially well regarded, they had been played back in the day by Petrosian and the like, but now of course we know that they are outdated dinosaurs.

Except of course when I look at results it seems very popular at the top level. What new ideas were found? Who are the champions of this line? Does it have a name apart from the awkwardness I typed in the thread title?

6... Nbd7 fell out of favour after some classic games from the 50s-60s in the 7. Bc4 Qa5 line. I guess the renewal was due to a few different factors like Black having to solve some problems in the 10. e5 Poisoned Pawn, the fact that 6... Nbd7 7. Bc4 e6 8. Bb3 Nc5 transposes into 6. Bc4 e6 7. Bb3 Nbd7 which has been a respectable system for the last 20 years, and mainly the new try 7. Bc4 Qb6 which was almost unknown and unexplored til Shirov - Dominguez Perez WaZ 2010.
