MSC, black has moved their king pawns wide open, and white can have a strong attack.

I thought that I had shown that from the position given black can actually win with 9...d5.

Until whatupyodog showed that your line was awful...

I think the fans know it's a bad opening.

I think the popularity comes from enraging the opponent.

Avatar of The_Gavinator

No the fans know it is actually a great opening that is often overlooked.

Avatar of MSC157

Eh, you, who glorify this opening, make it to me just more and more disgusting. :D

Avatar of The_Gavinator

It is disgusting, disgusting to play against because it is so overwhelming. Since you seem to disagree, why don't you post a defence?

Avatar of MSC157

I can post a defence (strange, you write with c, not american with s), just show me to which line...

Avatar of The_Gavinator

I have never ignored a line, it's just that nobody has posted any good lines...

Avatar of MSC157

Then, I can say nobody posted any good line for white side too. Sorry, but these lines which appeared in previous posts were, in all honesty, full of mistakes.

Avatar of The_Gavinator

Right, because there is no good way to stop the Parham. The currently accepted mailnine is 1. e4 e5 2. Qh5 Nc6 3. Bc4 g6 4. Qf3 Nf6 5. Ne2. White, left to his own devices will play d3, Bg5, Nc3, Nd5, and win the knight. You must stop that, I believe Joey's line is the best so far, but I still think white is better, although he thinks black is.

Avatar of MSC157

Yes, but I refuted it with early h6, so, after Bg5 - h6! And then g5. You must refute the f7-g5-h6 formation. Don't say just pushing kingside pawns and you're winning. Definitely not! Show variations to crush it.

(Because I can say then "pushing my other pieces will checkmate you", but it doesn't make any sense, right?)

Avatar of The_Gavinator

The thing is that doing that opens up your kingisde horribly. Now that you've stopped me from winning your f6 knight, you have another issue to deal with now that you've exposed your king.

Avatar of MSC157

Here Kasparov's king was wide open (due to your understanding).

Avatar of The_Gavinator

And he lost...

Avatar of MSC157

...due to blunder which wasn't connected with terrible g-h pawns :D

You see?

Avatar of The_Gavinator

Look at the final position, his king is so exposed because of those g and h pawns.

Avatar of MSC157

No, it's actually not exposed I think.

My novelty of 9...d5 is obviously owning the parham, yet gavinator and whatupyodog seem to ignore this. If you think it's so bad, post a line which is good for white from the current position. Stop telling us to post lines when you ignore them anyways, now you post lines so we can see how good this opening is in your eyes.
