                                                          King gambit

The King's Gambit is one of the oldest documented openings... In this opening, the White offers a pawn to divert the Black e-pawn so as to build a strong center with d2-d4. Theory has shown that in order for Black to maintain the gambit pawn, he may well be forced to weaken his Kingside.  The King's Gambit was one of the most popular openings for over 300 years, and has been played by many of the strongest players, in many of the greatest games..!  Personnaly, i fund this opening pretty interesting! Especially the accepted variations.

In this post, we will see a lot of variations .. (but because of the astronomical numbers of variations of this defence, i will only show you the accepted varations of this opening), i choose only 4 differents variations to be more exact.. but, I've no choice because the theory's associated with this gambit are very large but not many games seem to be played with this opening at high level!!!, so..  they will be the Botvinnik variation, "la variante rivière", "le Grand fouet" and finally the Paulsen var.
