I feel it is generally bad to move the kings bishop pawn out .This can lead to a break down in communications between pieces resulting in a loss.Be careful , you shouldnt over protect  but also allow freedom of pieces

How dare you insult the King's Gambit?! That's the best opening in history!

Best opening you'll ever see it.  A real King's Gambit. Laughing

ok.  I am playing someone now and using that opening.  Let's see if I crush or get crushed.  Something tells me it will be the ladder... :)

The king's gambit rocks!

Bird's Opening is one of those theoretically bad but in praxis perfectly fine openings.  Barnes' (f3) is is incontestably bad, but still has nothing on the Sodium Attack (Na3) or Ammonia Attack (Nh3) for sheer dubiousness.  In fact, it's probably not even as bad as the Sokolsky (b4) or Grob's/Spike (g4).

At least the Bird can fly!

Bad openings is good in practical play.
